Day 8

Weather: Sunny 17C
Water Temp: 9C
River: Nashwaak (Taymouth)

Was expecting company so I didn't venture away from home. After last night I was looking forward to getting down to my back yard anyhow. Unfortunately the sun didn't pop up until much later in the day, and mixed with the rain in the late morning the water was colder than yesterday. I did get a small 6" brookie on a green wooly bugger, but that was it.

The Stone fly hatch happened much later, in lesser numbers, and the trout were more sluggish. I did get a hand full of them to rise for a dry fly, but I was sluggish as well and missed them.

As it was getting dark I setup a small camp fire, and enjoyed an incredible light show as a thunder and lightening storm moved up the valley.
